Hurricane Mountain Sound Reports Loss of Trailer and $90,000 in Gear
REWARD OFFERED
PORT ST. LUCIE, FL - Stewart Clawson, owner of Hurricane Mountain Sound, LLC, reported the theft of a new 8x20-foot trailer valued at $7,000 loaded with $90,000 worth of professional audio gear.
He discovered that the trailer loaded with gear, which was parked and locked at his shop in Port St. Lucie, FL, was missing when he went there on the morning of March 21st. He has announced a reward for information leading to the return of the equipment or arrest of individuals responsible for the theft.
Clawson noted that the loaded trailer held the bulk of his company's inventory, "over $90,000 in equipment," he stated. He said that while some sound companies are big enough to be "insured to the hilt," he added, "I am not one of those guys." Clawson had recently cancelled insurance on HMS's inventory due to "work slowing as 'season' comes to an end in Florida." His trailer, however, is covered by insurance.
Clawson is married and has 3 children at home and has been building his company, Hurricane Mountain Sound, LLC, here in Southwest Florida for 8 years.
Since the loss, Clawson has received numerous calls and emails from the sound company community with words support and offers to help out in this difficult time.
Hurricane Mountain Sound, LLC will continue business as usual and has not cancelled any forthcoming engagements.
